The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Personal/ Business Banker role in the Niles, IL market. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an existing client book of business to support the retention and growth of profitable client relationships. As well as developing new and existing client relationships by educating prospects and clients about the features and benefits of the Bank’s consumer and business products

Personal Banker responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the customer’s needs are achieved by conducting a thorough financial needs assessment and offering the most appropriate products and services.
  • Generating leads, building new and maintaining existing customer relationships, resulting in outcomes that define great customer experience.
  • Onboarding all new clients by the cross-selling the entire suite of products such as Online and Mobile Banking, etc.
  • Performing all personal banking and teller procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of all Banks’ products and services.
  • Conducting sales calls to consumers, by phone or in person to achieve sales goals.
  • Actively engaging in the sales process to ensure the attainment of sales goals and objectives, while ensuring the bank’s credit quality and risk management guidelines are maintained.
  • Analyzing customer loan and deposit needs and make recommendations to sell various Bank products and services.
  • Presenting a variety of product solutions to client needs.
  • Being actively involved in the community to enhance network opportunities and educate potential customers on Bank products and services.
  • Opening and/or closing the Bank as necessary.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Two or more years’ experience in a banking environment.
  • Good understanding of all products and services applicable to the target client segment.
  • Ability to build positive relationships within the bank and capable of establishing professional expertise through integrity, dedication, and strategic counsel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a personal motor vehicle for travel to other locations.
