The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Branch Manager role located in the Chicago, IL market. The successful candidate will be promoting the branch facility in the community with an emphasis on building the deposit base and cross-selling other bank products and services to expand customer relationships.

This position offers a generous base salary of up to $70K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Branch Manager responsibilities include:

  • The day-to-day management of the branch retail department to ensure quality customer service is provided in a professional and courteous manner and in accordance with the bank and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Opening and closing the Branch when required.
  • Maintaining daily logs for vault, mail, night deposit, open/close branch, etc.
  • Overseeing daily branch sales and service efforts and ensuring achievement of branch sales and service goals.
  • Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the bank’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, scheduling, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, resolving problems, and communicating necessary information on an ongoing basis.
  • Providing administrative support to other retail and lending staff to meet the needs of the customer and assisting in the sales efforts of the facility.
  • Ensuring that the Branch is compliant with the Security Program and has the availability to respond to after-hour calls which may include but are not limited to ATM Maintenance, Security System Alarms, any other emergency, etc.
  • Encouraging individual growth of employees by the development of skills and expertise through personal involvement and example.
  • Making sales calls to existing and prospective customers to increase business and ensure customer retention.
  • Responding to customer demands, handling customer complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction to maintain a positive public image.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Three years directly related to banking, including supervisory experience.
  • Five or more years of directly related banking (Teller, Personal Banker, etc.), including supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Precision and Fiserv preferred.
  • Pleasant disposition which gives a positive image of the bank to customers and prospects.
