The Position

Our Arkansas-based bank client is seeking to fill a Remote BSA/AML Officer role. This selected candidate will be overseeing all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program.

This position includes a generous salary of up to $80K and a full benefits package. (This is a remote position.)

BSA/AML Officer responsibilities include:

  • Managing staff to ensure proficiency in the BSA department.
  • Providing reports on the BSA program to the Board of Directors on a regular basis.
  • Monitoring daily activity, maintaining Suspicious Activity logs, and preparing SARs for e-filing when the determination to file a SAR report has been made.
  • Maintaining the Subpoena log for potential SAR filing.
  • Reviewing new products or services for BSA compliance and impact on risk profile and developing procedures for minimizing risk.
  • Providing assistance to assigned bank examiners and external auditors ensuring that their examinations are completed efficiently and promptly.
  • Reviewing or delegating reviews of completed CTRs for accuracy prior to e-filing and review of 314(a) FinCEN Secure Information Sharing System information.
  • Ensuring annual risk assessment is conducted by a qualified person or persons.
  • Tracking and reporting on issues and recommendations made by federal, state, and independent examiners.
  • Monitoring the Complaint log for BSA violations.
  • Assessing the risk potential of current policies and procedures and making recommendations for corrective action to minimize risk exposure.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Ten or more years of BSA/AML experience.
  • CAMS certification preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge and understanding of BSA /AML regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, FinCEN, and FFIEC BSA/AML Manual.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior and departmental management.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Continuing education and professional certification programs are needed for fresh skills and competence.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
