The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Commercial (C&I) Banking Loan Officer role within the Brookfield, WI market. The chosen candidate will be responsible for making and servicing a variety of commercial loans to mid-sized to large businesses. This position will provide team members with functional guidance, a well as serve as a financial partner/advisor for business people in the community.

This position offers a generous salary of $90K and up, full benefits and is bonus eligible.

Commercial (C&I) Banking Loan Officer responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing complex credits and preparing clear, complete written and oral presentations without assistance.
  • Managing a commercial banking portfolio of business clients, assessing and meeting their business and personal needs.
  • Effectively monitoring, administering and maintaining of existing commercial banking portfolio in accordance with Bank’s standards.
  • Performing sales activities to develop new relationships with business clients.
  • Developing and maintaining referral networks with local insurance agents, real estate brokers, accountants, attorneys and other professionals.
  • Providing team members with functional guidance.
  • Maintaining credit quality in accordance with Bank guidelines.
  • Participating in all required training sessions for compliance.
  • Maintaining adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes/regulations in a defined area of responsibility.
  • Implementing bank-directed policy and changes relating to regulatory amendments.
  • Preparing monthly sales and production reports.
  • Ensuring proper loan documentation is prepared and monitoring and eliminating exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Attending all Loan Committee and Sales Meetings and participating accordingly.
  • Involvement in various community activities and organizations.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or other related field, with at least two accounting courses preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in the financial industry preferred and a minimum of 4+ years of commercial sales experience required.
  • Established lender in the $4MM to $30MM revenue space.
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal and State regulations covering commercial banking activities.
  • Strong analytical ability with effective written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
