The Position
Our client is seeking to fill a Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist role in the Elmhurst, IL market. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the review of the Credit Approval to determine the appropriate due diligence necessary for each transaction to ensure conformity and Regulatory Compliance.
The position includes a generous salary of up to $68K and excellent benefits package.
Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and analyzing Credit Approval to determine the appropriate due diligence necessary to document the loan.
- Reviewing all necessary entity documents to determine the signers and documentation is completed by internal or outside counsel.
- Reviewing existing collateral files to ensure all necessary due diligence and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Preparing loan documentation utilizing Laser Pro software system by adhering to the proper policies and procedures defined by the organization.
- Processing loan payments, payoffs, line advances and wire transfers as needed.
- Coordinating closings with appropriate parties, Borrowers, Loan Officers, Title Companies and Legal Counsel.
- Coordinating the return of all original loan documents and necessary supporting information to Loan Administration for the booking according to Bank Policies and Procedures.
- Maintaining knowledge of all state and federal regulations that are applicable to the transactions performed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
- Associates Degree in finance or accounting. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Four or more years’ experience in documenting and closing of Commercial Real Estate and Commercial and Industrial transactions.
- Experience in commercial lending analysis of business financial statements preferred.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
- Intermediate skills in Laser Pro, Fiserv/ITI, Baker Hill and Docuware preferred.
- Ability to pay attention to the details and make a conscious effort to understand causes instead of effects, in a second nature.
- Thorough understanding of the funding process.
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Safeguarding confidential and protected information covered by privacy law and company policy.
- Must work independently and as a member of team.
