The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Consumer Loan Processor role in the greater Oak Brook, IL market. The successful Commercial Loan Processor candidate will be responsible for providing support to the lending areas by reviewing the accuracy of consumer and mortgage loans from conditional approval to closing. The candidate will perform a variety of clerical duties related to processing, closing, and administration of Home Equity Loans.

This position offers a generous salary of up to $44K and a full benefits package.

Consumer Loan Processor responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and processing mortgage applications and other required consumer loan documentation for closing.
  • Preparing and delivering preliminary disclosures.
  • Ordering and preparing and required documents necessary for the loan to close in compliance.
  • Reviewing HUD’s prepared in conjunction with closing and call the title company closer with authorization to fund.
  • Scheduling and confirming closings as needed.
  • Processing and reviewing closed mortgage packages.
  • Processing loan modification requests and preparing documentation.
  • Generating satisfactions and breaking down paid loan files.
  • Reviewing and processing final titles and recorded mortgages.
  • Generating payoff letters and processing payments and payoffs.
  • Entering broker fee checks on the log and send to the broker weekly.
  • Auditing for accuracy of the loan entry function.
  • Performing any additional duties/activities assigned by management.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule required.
  • Proficient use of computers including Word, Excel, Internet, Email, Financial Link, Jack Henry, and other data or software programs and applications
  • Basic knowledge of lending documents.
  • Must have a good understanding of Bank and department policies and procedures. Ability to retain and maintain job knowledge.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong ability to interact positively with internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical skills and have the ability to plan ahead and solve problems.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workflow, complete simultaneous projects, following them through to completion by required deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
