The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Digital Marketing Specialist Lead role in the Houston, TX market.  The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, strategy, design, optimization, testing, execution, measurement and reporting for the Bank’s digital marketing, including mobile, online, and social channels including: web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising.

Digital Marketing Specialist Lead responsibilities include:

  • Recommending, developing and implementing approved digital & online marketing strategies that support the department’s promotional calendar and organizational objectives, drive brand preference, generate traffic and result in product adoption.
  • Generating qualified leads, increasing sales, improving customer service, deepening customer engagement, increasing brand awareness, and reporting ROIs and KPIs.
  • Leading website development and ongoing improvements to ensure content drives engagement and increases sales opportunities and revenue (KPIs).
  • Driving optimization of the bank’s website through effective assignment and application of keyword and SEO/SEM strategies with site vendor(s); utilize search engine analytics to measure traffic and recommend improvements.
  • Consulting and collaborating with lines of business to identify and solve business goals through development or enhancement of digital and online strategies; providing compliant solutions that protect and promote the bank and its brand reputation online.
  • Maintaining the bank’s social media presence (Facebook, Twitter) across all digital channels and engaging with brand ambassadors to create a community experience and respond (or forward) user requests in a timely manner.
  • Benchmarking and measuring all digital and online performance against industry and company averages and making recommendations based on performance.
  • Collaborating with marketing team to plan, evaluate, execute and maximize marketing initiatives; work closely with marketing content specialist to ensure consistent voice and brand.
  • Monitoring the latest technology and digital marketing trends and serving as a subject matter expert for digital marketing activities, identifying and applying best practices in digital marketing.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business administration or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive digital marketing experience emphasizing SEM and SEO.
  • Five or more years of marketing communications project management experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience in several of the following marketing functions: website navigation, operations and content, SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, strategic brand marketing, digital marketing vehicles, consumer insights and multi-channel marketing integration.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management and Content Management System software.
  • Experience in consumer digital marketing strategy including Web, Social and E-mail. Must be passionate about emerging trends and technology; an early adopter who is digitally involved; able to translate contemporary technology into applicable business strategies.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Previous team work experience, fostering positive relationships.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment.
  • Proven success leading teams to meet organizational objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence change.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
