The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Director of Finance and Accounting role in the Tulsa, OK area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of the Accounting Department.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $120K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Director of Finance and Accounting responsibilities include:

  • Providing complex financial analysis on a variety of subjects, including asset and liability risk management modeling, balance sheet management, and loan loss analytics using sound financial analysis methods.
  • Providing leadership, direction, guidance, coaching, performance evaluations, training, motivation, and discipline to direct reports.
  • Responsible for balance sheet and income statement forecasting and informed senior personnel of results and recommendations.
  • Overseeing secondary market pricing.
  • Presenting analysis and recommended courses of action to executive management.
  • Leading the annual budget preparation and providing supportive financial analysis in development through coordination with senior management.
  • Calculating, monitoring, and forecast interest rate risk under multiple interest rate scenarios and other asset and liability risk exposures leveraging a variety of tools and techniques including simulation models, economic analysis, and market research.
  • Providing a clear explanation of key drivers for changes in risk profile through analysis and reporting of monthly balance sheet interest rate risk and liquidity risk.
  • Compiling data from internal and external sources for ad hoc and reoccurring reports, analyzing and validating data, developing reports, and presenting materials that effectively communicate financial performance, risks, and strategy recommendations.
  • Assisting with loan loss analyses and recommending methodology and provision amounts, following U.S. accounting standards.
  • Communicating with managers and staff to resolve complex financial-related issues.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or Accounting. MBA preferred. A related field or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions may be substituted.
  • Six or more years of related work experience.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Asset/Liability Management modeling experience, preferably with ProfitStar.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills including educating and/or advising others.
  • Handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
  • Experience with automated financial systems, preferably Symitar.
