The Position
Our bank client is seeking to fill a remote Internal Audit Manager role in the state of Arizona. The candidate will develop an audit and compliance risk assessment, schedule, and audit methods and procedures.
The position includes a generous salary of up to $138K and an attractive full-benefits program. (This is a remote position – must live in Arizona).
Internal Audit Manager responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and directing the bank’s audit and compliance program to ensure policies and procedures are compliant with state and federal banking regulations.
- Serving as the bank’s BSA, CRA, and Privacy Officer.
- Establishing uniform compliance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Examining bank records, conducting interviews, and performing other tests to ensure compliance with bank policies, bank procedures, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Conducting internal audits in a timely manner utilizing a risk-based approach that includes sufficient documentation to support audit procedures performed.
- Reporting findings of audits and reviews to the Board of Directors as necessary.
- Communicating audit findings prepares audit work papers, narratives, and reports in accordance with established department, industry, and professional standards.
- Communicating policy exceptions, compliance violations, and control weaknesses to the department and bank management during audits.
- Providing final reports to management and complete follow-up to ensure recommendations are addressed.
- Assisting with compliance briefings and providing updates regarding changes in compliance regulations.
- Serving on the IT and Compliance committees as well as other committees as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field; or five or more years of banking, finance, or audit experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience.
- Community Bank Internal Auditor Certification or Community Bank Compliance Officer Certification will be provided as necessary.
- General banking knowledge that includes compliance with bank laws, regulations, and internal controls, and knowledge of banking products and services.
- Consistently demonstrates appropriate interpersonal communication skills with customers, coworkers, and outside vendors.
