The Position

Our community bank client is seeking to fill a Loan Operations Manager role in the Kansas City, KS area. The candidate will be responsible for the overall Loan Operations functions of the Bank and for ensuring existing controls are adequate and working effectively in the lending process as it relates to Loan Operations.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to $80K and a full benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Loan Operations Manager responsibilities include:

  • Development and coordination of lending activities as related to Loan Operations.
  • Management of the day-to-day operations of the Bank’s Loan Operations department in line with the bank’s Credit Policy.
  • Supervision and development of Loan Operations employees (hiring, terminations, coaching and job development, training, performance evaluations, salary recommendations, motivation, regular meetings, and ensuring employees understand and follow Bank policies and procedures).
  • Providing solutions to the Loan Department.
  • Reviewing and recommending to VP/Loan Administration Officer new methods, procedures, programs, and policies to make daily operations more efficient and effective.
  • Reviewing and recommending to VP/Loan Administration Officer new software, software contracts, and hardware purchase for the loan operations and lending functions.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings and training involving Loan Operations.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Lending, Retail, and Operations Departments and working to improve the efficiency and quality of interdepartmental interactions.
  • Responding to inquiries from internal customers regarding issues related to loan and loan payment data entry, documentation preparation, outgoing wire transfers of loan proceeds, incoming wire transfers of loan participation payments, verification of flood determination checklists, and document tracking.
  • Managing FRB audits.
  • Assigning and monitoring progress on projects and assignments.
  • Recommending, formulating, and implementing Loan Operations policies and procedures.
  • Handling research for the loan-related issue and finding solutions as problems arise.
  • Responsible to produce various management and Board reports.
  • Administrator for LaserPro, Simplifile, and E-Oscar.
  • Responsible for Core System loan specifications.
  • Acting as a “backup” and may perform various work of Loan Operations.
