The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Personal Banker role in the Orland Park, IL market. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service and meet and strive to exceed the standards established and outlined by management.

This position offers a generous base salary of up to $45K + Incentives and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Personal Banker responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service. Meets and strives to exceed the standards established and outlined by management.
  • Meeting the Bank’s business objectives of cross-selling products and services and increasing the market share of the branch.
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing deposit accounts.
  • Maintaining updated Bank product knowledge including all loan, IRA, and safe deposit box products and services.
  • Efficiently and professionally responds to all customer inquiries, sends necessary tasks, researches transactions, and resolves problems in order to address customer concerns in a timely manner.
  • Participating in and is responsible for completing assigned quality customer calls for all Branch Calling Campaigns.
  • Setting priorities and managing time in order to complete all tasks, reports, and customer follow-ups on time while ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • May be required to open and close the branch while adhering to all security policies.
  • Managing the daily activities of the safe deposit vault area including entry, delinquency/late payments, agreements, opening/closing boxes, and key accounting and issuance.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • one year of previous banker and/or Bank teller experience.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of bank products and services.
