The Position
Our bank client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Sr. Credit Manager role in the Woodstock, NY area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the credit approval, administration, and loan review process of the commercial loan portfolio while working closely with the Senior Credit Management team.
The position includes a generous salary of up to $100K and an excellent benefits package. (This is a hybrid remote position).
Sr. Credit Manager responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and managing the Credit Department consistent with Bank policy and industry standards, thereby ensuring that credit quality is being maintained.
- Producing quality underwriting and presentations that assess and present the credit risk.
- Ensuring solid loan structuring.
- Performing due diligence, documenting credit files, and closing loans.
- Administering the assessment of risk and creditworthiness of new and existing commercial businesses following the Bank’s policy and procedures to optimize the mix of new loan production and loan loss.
- Recruiting, hiring, assigning jobs, promoting, conducting performance appraisals, counseling, disciplining and terminating employees, mentoring and coaching employees in performance management, skill development, and personal growth.
- Completing assigned credit approvals on an as-needed basis.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
- College degree in a business discipline.
- Five or more years of commercial credit analysis and underwriting experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff, with prior direct management or supervisory experience preferred (but not required).
- Proven technical ability, as indicated by demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and underwriting complex commercial credits.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), exhibiting a high degree of professionalism.
- High-level computer proficiency, with good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Adobe.
