The Position

Our Michigan bank client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Sr. Credit Officer role. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and support of all credit department operations.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to $100K and a full benefits package. (This is a hybrid remote position).

Sr. Credit Officer responsibilities include:

  • Provides competent credit analysis for commercial lending activities of the Bank’s lending department and provide assistance in the administration of commercial borrowing accounts.
  • Evaluates the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with Bank Michigan.
  • Prepares spreadsheets, financial spreads, reports, summaries and opinions for Bank Michigan Officers on new, renewal and existing loans.
  • Conducts loan file review.
  • Provide administration to oversee the compliance of laws and regulations as they apply to the Bank.
  • Evaluates the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the Bank.
  • Provides more in-depth analysis and is able to identify trends.
  • Oversees, provides guidance/training and directs the work of the Credit Analysts.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from a 4-year college or university.
  • Ten or more years of related work experience must consist of a financial/credit analysis and lending.
  • Management experience required.
  • Heavy experience with C&I lending required.
  • Loan workout and SBA experience preferred.
  • Completion of formal bank management
  • executive school or financial industry-related degree program preferred.
  • Ability to create and analyze credit presentations, business correspondence, loan policies, and loan procedures.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
